D. Pharmacy/Diploma in Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Diploma program lasts two years. There are two sections to the exam: Part 1 (first year) and Part 2 (second year). Each component consists of six papers. There will be an examination at the end of Part I and Part II including written, oral and practical tests.  The manufacture, dispensing, and appropriate use of medications intended for therapeutic purposes are all part of the paramedical area of pharmacy.

A D.Pharm graduate may work as a registered pharmacist in community and hospital pharmacies, dispensing medications. It is now required that a pharmacy employ at least one qualified licensed pharmacist. To become a registered pharmacist, one must fulfill the necessary pharmacy council registration after earning a D.Pharm. A D.Pharm holder can opt for a professional degree (under graduate) course of B.Pharm in India via lateral entrance scheme.
